Assistant Principal

Dr. Andy Jackson

Dr. Jackson was born and raised in Sevier County. He attended the Seymour schools, graduating in 2006. He attended the University of Tennessee, where, in 2010 he received his Bachelor of Science with a major in political science and a minor in history. Next, Dr. Jackson attended Carson Newman University, where he graduated with a Masters in Education (2012), an Educational Specialist Degree (2014), and A Doctorate of Education (2016). He began working as a Spanish teacher at Seymour High School in the 2010-2011 school year. He then served as Assistant Principal at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School in Gatlinburg, TN from 2018-2023. He returned to Seymour High to serve as Assistant Principal in 2023 before joining the staff here at Sevierville Elementary. He also serves on the Tennessee Beta Council.

Dr. Jackson is married to Dr. Jennifer Jackson, Assistant Principal at Jones Cove Elementary, and they have three sons, Gavin, AJ, and Peyton.
